Circles of Trust®

In 2007 I participated in a Courage to Lead series of five 3-day retreats for clergy and congregational lay leaders in 2007. Having time away to meet with colleagues and learn some contemplative practices to reconnect my soul and role, I felt a noticeable improvement in my energy level, creativity, and passion for my work. I was able to rest and renew in a retreat setting, with the trustworthy facilitation of the group leaders, and it made a huge difference in ways I would never have imagined. I knew I needed to give back what I had so generously been given.

I decided to apply for the Facilitator Preparation Training with the Center for Courage and Renewal, and after completing the training in 2010, I have integrated these skills into all aspects of my work.  In 2010 I led a Circle of Trust® weekend retreat for clergy and spiritual leaders called Leading from Within, and in 2011 I c0-led a training for the Ask Big Questions Fellowship for college student leaders based on the principles and practices of Circles of Trust®.

Circles of Trust® provide a safe place for people to explore what matters most to them, and to connect those values with their work lives. It is a privilege to witness this sacred learning.

In this video clip, you can hear me describe a little bit about my experience with Circles of Trust.
