Supervision
I am passionate about supporting others in their vocational exploration and development, particularly during times of transition and change. I have also had a few supervisors who really missed the mark, so I know how helpful it can be to meet with a mentor for guidance and support.
Over the past twenty years, I have provided group supervision for substance abuse counselors, as well as field placement supervision and training for social work students. Currently I offer individual and group supervision for spiritual directors and social work interns, as well as clinical consultation. I am also supervising spiritual guidance interns at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.
With passion, clarity and insight, Karen is a superb workshop leader, mentor and writer. She brings energy from years of engaged introspection and the wisdom of time and experience to her facilitation with groups and with individuals. She has the courage to live fully, and the presence of heart and mind.

Mentoring
Mentoring provides a dynamic relational approach to supporting the goals and dreams of each individual. I have been blessed to have a few longtime mentors who have done everything from writing letters of recommendation to giving encouraging pep talks.
