Listening to old Steely Dan on the radio this morning, and it evoked such a comforting happy sentimental feeling, a bit wistful and longing too.
And my new favorite music is Lizz Wright's just-released CD Fellowship. Her voice is warm, expansive, passionate and steady. Mostly old school gospel and a gorgeous cover of Me'Shell Ndegeocello's "Fellowship" from her CD Comfort Woman. Plus Bernice Reagon makes a brief appearance as well. Simply sublime…
