Writing

I have been writing since age 18 when my first poem was published in an anthology of young women’s writing called Holding Her Own. Since then, my writing has appeared in Tikkun, Zeek, Women and Therapy, and several anthologies. I enjoy writing book reviews, which appear regularly in Presence: the Journal of Spiritual Directors International.

Writing has always been a personal source of joy, healing, delight and discovery, be it poetry, prose, journaling, or even professional articles,

In 2010 I received the Association for Women in Psychology’s Jewish Women’s Caucus Award for Scholarship, and in 2005, my article “Cultivating Compassion” was one of the winners of the International House Vision of Hope Essay Contest, addressing prejudice and stereotyping in the wake of 9/11. My current writing appears regularly on my blog.
