I am reading (and loving) Mark Nepo's Book of Awakening: Having the LIfe You Want by Being Present to the Life You Have. It's one of those 365 short readings for the year. Not that I follow it chronologically every day, of course; some days I will actually read the selection for that date, but other times I just open it to a random page.
Here is a little sample:
"Like many of us, I seem to be continually challenged not to hide who I am. Over and over, I keep finding myself in situations that require me to be all of who I am in order to make my way through."
(p. 49)
If you have seen the movie "Liar, Liar" with Jim Carrey, then you know that being all of who you are does not mean compulsively blurting out every thought, opinion or judgment that crosses your mind.
What's one thing you can do today to move closer to being your whole true self?
