Interfaith, Intercultural or Inquisitive?

This weekend I will be presenting a Sunday morning workshop called "Interfaith Families: The Joys and Challenges of Raising a Jewish Child, for interfaith, intercultural and inquisitive parents."

I am smiling right now because I love the word inquisitive. Curious, drawn to, inclined to explore or pursue, questioning. What a lovely idea–that there are parents who are genuinely inquisitive about the joys and challenges of raising children.

Every family has its own unique way of transmitting values, customs, and rituals; some are passed down from generation to generation, while others are more creative and spontaneous. Thankfully, my job is not to have the answers, but to offer questions and resources that allow parents to develop the tools, supports and skills they need.

Are you feeling inquisitive about something today? What or whom are you drawn to in a way that invites curiosity and exploration?
