As we turn the corner toward 2018, there are some things that remain constant as well as some possibilities for new growth.
Nearly everyone who lives in the Bay area has felt the impact of the challenging real estate environment. When my office building was sold at the end of 2017, I was invited by a kind and generous colleague to sublet his office. This experience taught me some new things about myself and my relationship to my physical environment. So much of one’s self is reflected in our personal space; at the same time, who we are transcends the places we inhabit. It’s an interesting paradox.
I am happy to report that one of my positive changes for 2018 is a new full-time office in San Francisco. I look forward to welcoming clients and colleagues into this new space; it really feels like a refreshing start to the new year.
