We are living in politically divided times as a global community. Environmental catastrophe. Economic uncertainty. Xenophobia. Alienation. In the United States, there is a dramatic escalation of transphobia, racism and othering, along with an unmitigated assault on many individuals and communities.
Navigating the intensity of living under threat is a heavy lift for our souls, our nervous systems, and the planet herself. It is enormously useful to have tools and strategies for balance, connection and ACTION.
My daily mantra is JUST ONE THING EVERY DAY. Whether that one thing is calling my local elected officials, leading a meditation circle, recycling a piece of cardboard, making chicken soup for a sick neighbor, or bearing witness to another person’s grief, every action matters. Even if it feels like a little droplet in the ocean, every droplet matters.
JUST ONE THING EVERY DAY in the service of justice, goodness, wholeness and peace.
